Barack Obama was born in Hawaii, and is to date the only US president not to be born on the US mainland.
Hawaiians are particular about being called Hawaiians

It doesn’t matter how long you’ve live in Hawaii, only people with Hawaiian ancestry are allowed to call themselves called “Hawaiians.” Anyone of non-Hawaiian ancestry (even if they were born and raised there) call themselves “locals.”
The Hawaiian alphabet is short

While English has 26 letters in its alphabet, there are only 13 letters in the Hawaiian alphabet. Interestingly, every syllable and word ends with one of five vowels.
It’s getting bigger every year
