If you grew up listening to Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch, then it may be hard for you to picture the Good Vibrations hit-maker in the lead role of a crime drama film. Once you see Mark Wahlberg as Jim Bennet in The Gambler, it becomes rather hard to believe that this was the same guy behind popular chart-toppers like Wildside, You Gotta Believe, and, of course, Good Vibrations.
We’ve all been there. You’re looking in the mirror, observing your perfect skin, pearly white teeth and impeccably chiselled jawline, and the thought hits you again; why, for the love of all things pure, could I not be just a little less good looking? It’s a curse that will haunt you, likely for majority of your life, and a burden that must be carried nonetheless. We’ve all known about celebrity tantrums for years, thanks to tabloids, the Internet, and social media. It’s easy to believe some of the stories about actors and rock stars, but your favourite famous chef, whose on-screen personality is as delectable as their dishes? Not so much.
It’s a bitter mouthful to swallow, but I guess the celebs we idolise in the kitchen are people, too – and it just so happens that some people have fiery tempers, a sour character, and are known far and wide for the acidic, bitter words they spew.
